The Hispanic Organization of Urban Studies and the Environment (HOUSE), which is a fairly new student organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, promotes the involvement of future Hispanic and Afro-Latin professionals in the various fields of environment development/design such as Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, and the Arts.

 

HOUSE also seeks to be a support network that helps students with their day-to-day academic challenges. HOUSE provides resources academically, professionally, and socially through weekly meetings, workshops, social events, and professional events. The student organizations also plan architectural firm crawls and networking events with architecture student organizations from different schools.
